GOOD NEWS FROM WASHINGTON
Our representative Doug Collins, among others, met with General Holland from the Corps of Engineers and the following are the results of that meeting:
· Implementation of the dock permit fee increase has been delayed.
· A study will be completed of actual costs including how other Corps regions handle fees.
· They are now considering phasing in rate increases.
· The detailed cost analysis demanded (the 4th step) in the second letter to the Corps by the Representatives has been finalized at the local level and has been sent to the Corps Washington office.
As promised, we will continue to keep you informed as we receive more information. Please send your thanks to Congressman Collins for all his and his staff’s work on our behalf. And thank you for support of the Property Owners’ during this trying time.
